Deborah Richie-Bray moved to California with the unique opportunity to work with world renewed Landscape Architect Denis Kirtz on the Getty Villa and numerous high end residential projects. The Getty Villa's renovations of the exterior gardens, has given Deborah the back bone with extensive research of drought tolerant and Mediterranean plant materials for the California Coastal environment. Working with the existing and incorporating the new on a large scale has given Deborah the ability to work on both large and small scale properties to their full potential. Deborah graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BSLA, in 1987 and received her Landscape Architecture License in 1989 in Kentucky and California License in 1999, after taking plant materials classes at UCLA. Starting her business in a small office in Redondo Beach, California, although Richie-Bray, Inc. was officially founded in 2000, Deborah had already put together an impressive portfolio of work in the Southern California, Kentucky, and international areas in both residential and commercial landscape and master planning.
